Traditions 1851 Navy Sheriff's Revolver — .36 Cal Compact Cap-and-Ball Percussion Revolver
The Sheriff's Model takes the legendary 1851 Navy design and trims it down for faster handling and easier carry. With a 5" barrel instead of the standard 7.5", this compact cap-and-ball revolver is quicker to draw, lighter to carry, and more maneuverable — without giving up the authentic single-action feel and historical character that makes the 1851 Navy so compelling.
Built on a brass frame with a blued octagonal barrel and walnut grip, the Sheriff's Model is a natural fit for cowboy action shooters who want a shorter, faster revolver, re-enactors portraying Old West lawmen, or collectors who want a distinctive variant of the classic Navy design.

Why the Sheriff's Model?
The shorter barrel makes this revolver noticeably quicker to handle than a full-length Navy — faster draw, better balance for one-handed shooting, and easier to carry on a belt rig. The brass frame keeps weight down and gives the revolver a warm, period-correct look. If you want a black powder revolver that's a little different from the standard Navy, the Sheriff's Model is a great choice.
