The Thorax BWO Emerger imitates a Blue-Winged Olive nymph in the final stages of emergence — thorax swelling, wings just breaking through the shuck. Its low-riding profile in the surface film is deadly during Baetis hatches on Colorado's tailwaters, particularly on the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork during spring and fall emergences.
