The Red Fox Squirrel Nymph is a Dave Whitlock original and one of the most versatile attractor nymphs in the Western fly fishing box. Its dubbed body of red fox squirrel fur creates a shaggy, buggy profile that imitates a wide range of aquatic invertebrates — stonefly nymphs, caddis larvae, and mayfly nymphs alike. A consistent producer on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River throughout the season, especially in off-color water or when fish are feeding opportunistically.
