Pat's Rubberlegs in Coffee is a warm, dark earth-tone colorway of one of Colorado's most productive stonefly nymph patterns. The coffee/brown body sits between the high-contrast black version and the natural olive/brown — it's a versatile, all-conditions color that works in off-color water, low-light conditions, and as a general attractor when trout are actively feeding on stonefly nymphs in the rocky riffles and runs of the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River.

The rubber legs pulse and kick with every micro-current, creating a lifelike action that triggers aggressive strikes from trout holding in deep runs, pocket water, and the heads of pools. This is a heavy, fast-sinking pattern designed to get to the bottom quickly and stay there — right in the strike zone where big trout feed. How to Fish It

Dead-drift under an indicator or on a tight line through deep runs, pocket water, and the heads of pools where stonefly nymphs are most active. The coffee color is especially effective in off-color or slightly turbid water where a warmer, darker profile stands out better than olive/brown. The #6 or #8 is ideal for fast, deep water; drop to the #10–#16 in shallower runs and riffles or tailwater sections. Pairs exceptionally well with a smaller nymph or midge as a dropper in a two-fly rig.
