Nosler Ballistic Tip .308 Win 150gr Hunting Ammo (20ct)

Nosler Ballistic Tip® hunting ammunition in .308 Winchester loads a 150-grain Spitzer Ballistic Tip® hunting bullet in Nosler® Premium Brass. Manufacturer SKU 61028 (UPC 054041610285) comes in a 20-round box. Nosler lists muzzle velocity of 2,800 fps and muzzle energy of 2,611 ft-lbs, tested in a 24-inch barrel with a 1:10″ twist. Ammunition use: deer-sized game. Optimized for maximum effectiveness on deer, antelope, and hogs. Made in the USA. Lead-free: No. Prop 65 and shipping restrictions apply per Nosler.

The Ballistic Tip® hunting bullet’s polymer tip starts expansion on impact; the boat-tail improves long-range flight; and the heavily jacketed base supports a large mushroom at practical hunting velocities. Nosler component data for the 150gr .308 Ballistic Tip Spitzer lists G1 BC about 0.435 and sectional density 0.226—handy for zeroing a .308 for Front Range or Western Slope deer seasons.

Manufacturer ballistic table (SKU 61028): muzzle 2,800 fps / 2,611 ft-lbs; 100 yd 2,588 / 2,231; 200 yd 2,386 / 1,896; 300 yd 2,193 / 1,601; 400 yd 2,009 / 1,344; 500 yd 1,834 / 1,120. Drop (100-yd zero): −3.7″ at 200, −13.5″ at 300, −30.6″ at 400. Drop (200-yd zero): −8″ at 300, −23.2″ at 400 yards. That makes a straightforward factory load for bolt guns and many gas guns chambered in .308 Winchester.

Use cases: Colorado deer and antelope; hog hunting where legal; sighting in the same load you will hunt with; saving Nosler brass for handloads later. Visually inspected rounds and premium brass are part of Nosler’s Ballistic Tip ammunition pitch for consistency shot to shot.
