Up to 18,000 BTU Output

The Big Buddy's three heat settings — 4,000, 9,000, and 18,000 BTU — allow you to dial in the right heat output for conditions. Use the low setting for mild days or small shelters, the medium setting for typical Colorado winter conditions, and the high setting for extreme cold or large shelters. The ability to adjust output conserves propane on warmer days while providing maximum heat when temperatures plunge.

Dual Propane Canister Connection

The Big Buddy connects to two 1lb propane canisters simultaneously, providing extended run time between canister changes. An optional hose adapter allows connection to a 20lb tank for all-day operation without interruption — ideal for full-day ice fishing sessions on Colorado's reservoirs.

Safe for Indoor Use

The Big Buddy is equipped with Mr. Heater's Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) and tip-over safety shutoff, making it safe for use inside ice fishing shelters and ice houses with adequate ventilation.
