Luhr-Jensen Needlefish Size 2 - Grasshopper

Luhr-Jensen Needlefish Size 2 – Grasshopper | Trolling Spoon for Trout & Kokanee

The Luhr-Jensen Needlefish is one of the most trusted trolling spoons for trout and kokanee — an elongated, thin-blade design that performs at all trolling speeds. The Grasshopper finish delivers a natural, earthy color pattern that closely matches the look of real grasshoppers and other terrestrial insects that trout key on near the surface, making it a particularly effective choice during the summer and fall terrestrial season on Colorado’s lakes and reservoirs. The metal flipper tail adds erratic flash and improved slow-trolling performance. Fish it plain, or tip it with a small piece of worm or shoepeg corn for extra attraction. Rig it behind a dodger or troll it solo behind a weight, on lead core line, or off a downrigger.
