The Competition Nymph Built to Get Deep, Fast
The Jiggy Black Tiger Perdigon TB is a high-performance competition-style nymph designed to cut through the current and reach the strike zone faster than traditional nymphs. The UV resin-coated body is nearly frictionless in the water, allowing the tungsten jig bead to pull it down quickly through fast runs and deep pools — exactly where big trout hold on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River.
The Black Tiger color combination — black body with tiger-stripe flash — is a proven attractor pattern that works across a wide range of conditions and water types. Perdigons don't imitate a single insect; they trigger strikes through flash, movement, and the irresistible action of the jig hook riding point-up through the current. When fish are deep and tight to the bottom, this is the fly to reach them.

How to Fish It
Euro nymph or tight-line on a short leader for maximum depth and contact. Also works well under an indicator in deep runs. The jig hook rides point-up, reducing bottom snags and improving hookup rates. Fish the #14 in faster, deeper water; drop to the #18 in slower, clearer conditions. Pair with a smaller soft hackle or midge as a dropper for a versatile two-fly rig.
