The Green Drake Cripple imitates a large mayfly dun that failed to fully emerge — a helpless, easy meal that selective trout target aggressively during the Green Drake hatch. Its low-riding, half-emerged profile is often more effective than a standard dun pattern when fish are keying on cripples on the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork.
