Firequest Flechette 12 Ga

The Firequest Flechette 12 Ga is a specialty 2¾-inch shotgun shell loaded with approximately 32 small, dart-shaped steel projectiles. Unlike conventional shot or slugs, flechettes are designed for penetration through light brush, limbs, and foliage, a characteristic that historically led to their use in military applications such as the Vietnam-era “beehive” rounds. Firequest also refers to them as “Satan’s Toothpicks.”

Each shell delivers a dense pattern of the 1-inch darts, making the load of interest to collectors and shooters exploring unique specialty ammunition. The rounds are available in convenient 3-round packs and larger 25-round quantities. As with many exotic shotgun loads, shipping is restricted in several states and cities, and buyers should confirm local laws before ordering.

While flechette performance depends on velocity, stabilization, and range, these shells offer a distinctive alternative to standard shotgun ammunition for range use or display. Always follow safe firearm handling practices and treat specialty rounds with the same care as any other ammunition.
