Firequest Exploding Slug 12 Ga

The Firequest Exploding Slug 12 Ga is a specialty 2¾-inch non-incendiary shotgun slug engineered to detonate upon impact and separate into 4–5 pieces. Unlike traditional solid slugs, this 1¼-ounce round is designed to fragment on contact with a target, creating multiple projectiles without requiring a hard surface to initiate the effect.

Available in convenient 3-round and larger multi-packs, the Exploding Slug is intended for range use and specialty applications. Firequest notes that the round does not need to strike a hard target such as steel to function, but issues an important safety directive: do not fire at targets less than 50 yards away or in close proximity to the impact zone. Extreme caution is always required.

As with many exotic shotgun loads, shipping is restricted in several states and cities, and buyers should verify local laws before purchase. When used responsibly at appropriate distances and in suitable outdoor settings, the Exploding Slug offers a distinctive specialty option for shooters interested in unique terminal performance. Always follow safe firearm handling practices.
