The Crippled Callibaetis imitates a Callibaetis mayfly trapped in its shuck — an easy target that selective trout key on during the hatch. Its low-riding, half-emerged profile is often more effective than a standard dun pattern on Colorado's stillwaters and slower river sections where Callibaetis are abundant.
