Copper John - Wine

The Copper John in Wine is a rich, dark variation of one of the most productive nymphs ever tied. The deep burgundy wire body paired with a tungsten bead head creates a profile that trout key in on, particularly in off-color water or low-light conditions when darker, more visible patterns outperform brighter alternatives. It sinks fast, holds its shape, and consistently draws strikes from browns and rainbows holding in deep runs and riffles on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River.

A natural complement to the standard red and green Copper John colorways, the Wine version rounds out any serious nymph box. Fish it on a euro rig as a point fly or drop it under an indicator through gold medal water — either way, it produces. Available in sizes #18 and #20.
