Comparadun PMD

The Comparadun PMD is one of the most effective Pale Morning Dun imitations you can tie on during a summer hatch. Its flared deer hair wing and hackle-free design allow it to sit flush in the surface film, presenting a low-riding silhouette that selective, educated trout find nearly impossible to refuse.

When PMDs are popping on the Frying Pan River, the Roaring Fork, or the Colorado River, this fly earns its place at the top of your box. Fish it dead-drift through slow seams and flat tailouts where rising trout are sipping emergers and duns. It also works beautifully as the dry in a dry-dropper rig with a small Pheasant Tail or RS2 below.
