The Chubby Chernobyl in Tan is a large foam terrestrial attractor dry fly that excels during the hopper and late-summer terrestrial season on Colorado’s Western Slope rivers. The warm tan colorway is one of the most natural and realistic in the Chubby lineup — closely matching the underside tones of hoppers, tan caddis, and pale stoneflies that trout key on from midsummer through fall on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River. The buoyant foam body rides high in fast riffles and broken water, and it doubles as an excellent indicator fly in a dry-dropper rig.
