The Chubby Chernobyl in Golden Brown is a large foam terrestrial attractor dry fly and one of the most versatile colorways for Colorado’s Western Slope rivers. The golden brown tone bridges the gap between the golden and tan colorways — closely matching the natural profile of late-season hoppers, golden stoneflies, and the warm-toned caddis that trout key on from midsummer through fall on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, and Colorado River. The buoyant foam body rides high in fast riffles and broken water, and it doubles as an excellent indicator fly in a dry-dropper rig.
