The Brooks Sprout Callibaetis imitates a Callibaetis mayfly in the act of emerging — wings just breaking through the shuck and body still partially submerged. A deadly pattern during the early stages of a Callibaetis hatch on Colorado's stillwaters and slower tailwater sections when trout are keying on emergers.
