AAE Slippery Slide

AAE Slippery Slide

The AAE Slippery Slide (often listed as Slippery Slide Cable Guide) is a low-friction cable slide for compound bows that use an industry-standard cable-guard rod. It is for archers who want a smoother draw cycle, less cable wear, and a clean place to attach a fall-away rest activation cord.

• Teflon-filled nylon material for a smoother glide on the cable guard
• Industry-standard cable-guide design for bows that use a similar slide style
• Set-screw attachment point for fall-away rest activation cords
• Works with AAE fall-away rests and most other fall-away rests that use a pull cord
• Helps reduce cable friction compared with many stock slides
• Available from AAE in multiple colors (Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Pink, Orange, Red, White)

Who it is for / how to use it: Compound shooters in Colorado who run a cable-driven fall-away rest—or simply want a smoother cable path—can swap the stock slide for the Slippery Slide, route the rest cord through the set-screw channel, and fine-tune cord length for clean rest timing before hunting season.

Is this the same as an AAE “Slipper” Slide?

Yes—shop listings sometimes shorten the name. The manufacturer product is the AAE Slippery Slide Cable Guide.

Will it work with non-AAE fall-away rests?

AAE states the design accepts the activation cord from any fall-away rest, and that it can be used with most other fall-away rests as well as AAE rests.

What does the set screw do?

It locks the rest activation cord so you can secure cord length and tune the rest quickly.
