Guided Float Trips — Colorado & Roaring Fork Rivers, Glenwood Springs

A guided float trip is one of the best ways to experience fly fishing on the Colorado and lower Roaring Fork rivers around Glenwood Springs. Floating opens up over 60 miles of prime river that wade fishermen simply can't access — all while taking in some of the most spectacular canyon scenery in western Colorado.

It's also a perfect outing if only one person in your group fishes. One angler works the water while the other relaxes with a book, camera, or simply soaks in the views along the Colorado River corridor.

We primarily float the lower Roaring Fork and the Colorado River near Glenwood Springs. You can float in either a raft or a drift boat — rafts allow access to shallower stretches higher up the Fork, while drift boats and rafts both work beautifully on the lower river and Colorado. Your guide will recommend the best option based on conditions and your goals for the day.

Float trips are ideal for all skill levels — from first-time fly fishers to experienced anglers looking to cover water efficiently. Waders are an option if you'd like to stop and wade fish along the way. In summer, many guests prefer lightweight shorts and sandals.

We are one of the few fully permitted guide services with access from Grizzly Creek into Glenwood Canyon — meaning we can take you into sections of the river that most outfitters cannot reach.
