Upper Roaring Fork Report — August 1, 2026
Share
Status as of August 1, 2026: The Upper Roaring Fork is fishing exceptionally well. Cooler water temperatures have kept fish active and healthy, making this the top option in the valley while lower sections continue to recover. With the anticipated higher flows the fishing below the confluence at Basalt will benefit from the colder water.
Hopper-dropper rigs have been producing consistently — fish are looking up and eating well. If you're deciding where to go this weekend, this is it.
