1. Roaring Fork River Fishing Report

The Roaring Fork continues to fish well as cooler water temperatures have kept the trout happy. Flows have dropped recently, making conditions more technical for float anglers. The lower Roaring Fork is currently around 350 CFS, creating a shallow, bumpy ride with plenty of rocks to navigate.

For float trips, the Carbondale to Iron Bridge section is currently the best option, but anglers should be prepared to bounce and scrape their way downstream. Fishing has been productive, with baetis, midges, and other smaller bugs producing fish.

As temperatures continue to cool, conditions should remain favorable. Keep an eye on changing flows and water temperatures as we move further into fall.
